Okay, fine, but what are the statistics vs, say, smoking in bed, propane explosions or electrical appliance fires? This sounds like the kind of logic people use when thinking about shark attacks when they are at the beach.

NYC has stations where bike riders can swap their batteries for fully charged ones. Automated, unmanned, like ATMs. The pilot program has just been extended to the end of the year. Seems like a good idea.

Fires are not down (175) so far this year, but deaths are (14 last year, 6 now).

When they develop an electric motorcycle that sounds like a big bore inline four with a 4-into-1 pipe, count me in!

The net result of this was that non-rechargeable Lithium batteries became unacceptable for carriage by air and the only type that could be carried were rechargeable batteries., usually called lithium-ion batteries

In this article we will introduce you to the LiFePO4 BMS, we'll discuss how they work and how to choose the right BMS for your battery.
