Natural gas and propane generators also have the advantage of not needing to keep gas on hand, not to mention problems with it from sitting a long time.

Funny you mention this, Garth, because I just bought another new gas mower. That makes two mowers, and two wackers/trimmers. I'm set for life now! It's kind of fun, sort of like having the choice of different motorcycles/cars to use.

California has, and will continue to have, fires from time to time. It's part of the natural renewal cycle of nature. I feel sorry for the (mostly) rich folk, living in the canyons and hills. That's risky. If fires don't get you, the mud slides will (when it rains a lot.) People love to live with nature, but even on a good year, it hardly rains in So. Calif, so there is always going to be fire risk.

Only stupid people blame CO2 from a gas lawn mower for burning down a town.

You do realize that it is the cumulative expulsion of CO2 around the world that is the problem I hope ......

Gotta stop these cow farts. How about all the CO2 released by the B.C. forest fires that the govt. refuses to fight in a timely fashion? Little Helicopters with 5 gallon buckets aren't the answer. There's a lot of blame to lay, it doesn't all go to one cause. I've been up close and personal to forest fires several times over my life and blaming everything on CO2 emissions from internal combustion engines does not fix the lack of proper forest fire response that our province has been doing. B.C. is doing an immense damage to the world environment, along with China and India, so maybe we should put the blame where it should be.

Ever notice how the posts that are NOT about motorcycles, usually start becoming a pi$$ing contest rather quickly?
