Let me see now .... The title of the thread is " The end is near " because of a California law ..... And then you go on to tell us all the ways you are stocking up before it comes into effect ..... if you can't identify politics when you are doing it yourself ..... Then you are hopeless ......Old age and treachery will beat youth and skill every time1983 GS 750

I will say this. We bought our electric mower 8 years ago, and it was one of the best buys I ever made.
The thing is just a good as my old gas mower. Doesn't need a carb clean, new plug, oil change, or air filter...ever.
Don't have to go buy gas.
And it's quiet.
I have no understanding of the reasoning behind not wanting one.
Pretty stupid discussion, if you ask me.Bob T. ~~ Play the GSR weekly photo game: Pic of Week Game

Regarding ICE vs. battery, the 2025 projection is for 75% of all vehicles sold in the US to be ICE. EV projected at 10%, hybrid at 15%. People have the option of going EV, but clearly, most people don't want them. Same for me with an electric lawn mower. My past experience with electric tools is fine, but there are always battery problems down the line. So, my choice is to stay ICE. You are free to choose otherwise.Ed

Don't have to go buy gas.rolleyes:
Bought a battery powered mower a few years ago. Discovered all the points you mentioned above.
And I can add two more advantages: It always starts.
And it is supposed to run for 50 minutes, but I can only last 45 minutes when I NEED to take a break!
