The Vortex is where you should go. NOW. Leave this thread and stop posting. You are the reason it's gone off the rails. If you can't see that, you are hopeless.

Let me see now .... The title of the thread is " The end is near " because of a California law ..... And then you go on to tell us all the ways you are stocking up before it comes into effect ..... if you can't identify politics when you are doing it yourself ..... Then you are hopeless ......

The title of this thread alone, makes it vortex material. Give me a break.

I will say this. We bought our electric mower 8 years ago, and it was one of the best buys I ever made.
The thing is just a good as my old gas mower. Doesn't need a carb clean, new plug, oil change, or air filter...ever.
Don't have to go buy gas.
          And it's quiet.

I have no understanding of the reasoning behind not wanting one.
Pretty stupid discussion, if you ask me.

Having choices in life is good. We can select products based on our sensibilities.

Regarding ICE vs. battery, the 2025 projection is for 75% of all vehicles sold in the US to be ICE. EV projected at 10%, hybrid at 15%. People have the option of going EV, but clearly, most people don't want them. Same for me with an electric lawn mower. My past experience with electric tools is fine, but there are always battery problems down the line. So, my choice is to stay ICE. You are free to choose otherwise.

With ethanol in all gas now, I'm now putting fuel stabilizer in my jerry cans for my lawnmower and power washer....electric makes good sense.

Now that we don't have an acreage to maintain if our 25 year old mower ever dies it will be replaced with electric, same with our trimmer and as for the chain saw (sold the big one and just have the smaller one now) we've hardly used it since we moved 7 years ago but I do purge the gas and run it once year. Unfortunately the damn mower just keeps running though .....some things I wish would just quit. LOL.
