Well, the BMW was sorted…. Sort of. Ugh. Too long a story and I really don’t feel like rehashing it. So, long story-short, the beemer is gone and there is now a 2007 Mustang GT/CS (5 speed, of course) in the driveway. I just took it for a rip. The BMW or my Mini, for that matter, handle better and are more fun to drive, but boy does this Ford move, and it sounds sweet. Kid, take it easy, please.

I think the Mustang is a safer choice than the BMW in the long run. As the owner of two Priuses, though, every time I get close to buying a new car, I just can't. Prius just never breaks and goes forever. Might be the most bulletproof car ever.

(the Mustang is beautiful, btw - I really like the retro 67-8 versions from 2005 to ?2011)

I wish he had never sold his Prius. He's have had zero maintenance costs but oil change and tires and would have saved so much money. But I can't fault the boy for wanting nice wheels. I, too, think this is my favorite modern Mustang body style. On the ride I took him on last night, I got it up to 75 on the back country roads, never got out of 3rd gear. Chirped the tires once or twice. . The exhaust note from the factory Roush exhaust is really nice. He's happy. Just hope he stays out of trouble.

OOhhh, I'd hate to hurt his feelings, but for about the same $$$ he could have had a Camaro!! ... Congrats.

Sweet ride. Plus there's much more aftermarket parts for the Mustang. Get him a Summit Catalog and watch him go crazy!!!

Catalog? Bah. Kids don't even know what a catalog is . When I was a kid. the JC Whitney catalog was the sht. He has already ordered a new head unit form somewhere and was working on it this morning when I called the wife. Was also removing the M U S T A N G letters from the windshield. Good move. I talked to him about that last night. Like, you can't tell this is a Mustang coming at you when looking at the front end, and need a sign spelling it out? He took off the rear window louvre before he even left the dealership. We'll have to remove the louver hardware form the rear windshield w/ a hairdryer probably.
