That's awesome Scott. We just had a retirement lunch for one of our secretary's. She's worked with us for 21 years. A real nice lady.
I have about three more years till semi retirement. I want to drive a school bus or maybe a delivery van... 34 years working in the same shop is getting old. I want to work on motorcycles and be a hobby machinist.My Motorcycles:

Yep, someone else can deal with the daily problems.
Maybe a big corporation like that, maybe you will not be able to “just stop in” from time to time.
I was able to, and was good to visit and chat with folks, and then point out what I DID’T miss.

Congratulations, Scott. for making that finish line. I've got no advice. Everybody's retirement is different. One thing I am pretty sure about yours though is that boredom is not going to be an issue.

I retired last week, put a fresh set of Shinkos on both the front and rear!
Good for you on making it out alive, I gave up at 54 and will probably be part timing and picking up "gigs" until I'm 70.1980 Yamaha XS1100G (Current bike)
