That is what has to be decided by the Michigan court.

As is stated in the article, the results of this case will affect all of America.:

As the use and availability of drone technology expands, Frommer said the case could set a legal precedent.

"This is a bellwether. This decision will affect the course of not just Michigan, but all of America about how it treats drone surveillance."

I noticed-and no doubt, but probably in favor of greater privacy protection.

It would be interesting to see anti-drone technology develop along the lines of how security cameras and alarm systems developed in the 20th century. Maybe anti-drone drones.

This is pretty much what's happening in Canada as well as no flying in National or Provincial Parks. Interesting that our town is about 4 miles from one end to the other with 3 heliports within it's boundaries. Doesn't leave much room to fly.

"In Canada, if you plan to fly a drone that weighs 250 grams or more, obtaining a license is mandatory, even if you're flying over your own private property. However, indoor or underground drone operations are not regulated by Transport Canada.

Very generally, for Basic operations in Canada you are not permitted to fly a drone within 3 nautical miles (5.6 km) of a certified airport or military aerodrome or within 1 nautical mile (1.9 km) of a heliport."

Even If you are just a recreational flyer and abide by all the rules and regulations , you'll find there are a lot of guidelines.

It's easy enough to find online the test that everyone with a drone should take ...it's pretty basic .

Same with registering drones with FAA.

There are several app you can download, and kinda mandatory if the drone set up has capability ...that will notify you if you are in restricted air space...or you just look it up.

It will often sent you a notification of these things and tell you to fly with caution.

They are easy to fly and have so many cool things about them..obstacle avoidance, return to home function, several maneuvers automatically for pics and videos and very reliable.

I've talked to a few people who have lost them??..lol

maybe they were shot down?? Lol

My main one is under 250 grams, it's my favorite and really if it was two hundred feet above... youd never notice it,

never fly the bigger ones anymore.

Lot of older guys I know that were into remote controlled planes back in the day love them.

Great for people into photography...Camara has lots of options.

Well, sounds like it's time to buy a fleet of drones to protect my airspace from drones.

I've heard you can disrupt their signal, with a directional tesla coil.....lol

If someone is bothering anyone with a drone call the cops.

There have been some hefty fines laid out to drone operators that infringed on others..

long time ago, guy on youtube was doing all kinds of things with his drone that were questionable, people in the comment section warned him..some even scolding him as giving drone flyers a bad name with his flight.

Someone turned him in...all the evidence on his youtube channel. Hundreds of thousands of dollars in fines....he is no longer

I have a couple of flux capacitors, I should be able to convert them.

It’s either this or I will cover my lawn with brown tarps so no one can tell how nice my lawn is.

I'd like to have a ground based drone detection system that would guide a small parabolic dish antenna to send a signal that would disable the drone and cause it to fall onto my property. Then when the owner comes along to look for it you can nail them for trespassing.

                        Intrusive drones...are they illegal

I think they should be illegal , most drone flyers I believe do the right thing ,but you're going to have some that don't.

When I had drone fly over close to my house I think it was a police-sheriff drone...big expensive drone, kinda creepy, it was like a big creepy flying spider lurking around. Lol

I've also seen them use big drone when spraying bean fields, not sure how well that works??

I will start looking up more, as I have no recollection of ever seeing a drone up in the sky.

I did see a neighbor flying one in his horse area at ground level to chase the turkeys out.

Is 200’ the height were you would not hear them?

                            Depends on the drone
, my smallest one during daytime about two hundred probably wouldn't hear it, but at night time when it's quiet.....in sport mode....can hear it easily at 400 ft and six hundred feet away....I can actually keep better site of it at night....lights flashing..lol

Just my experience with one's I've had .

I go by the river couple times a week in a few different small towns, they all have nice little parks with river access, hardly anyone ever around... good place to mess with a drone on way home..lol
