        I presume that's on public property. Would that be legal if on private property?

          You can certainly forbid launching and landing on your own spread, but you don't own the airspace.

          You rural types (sorry, I meant 'dwellers' ) could probably claim you thought it was a duck after peppering it with some birdshot. What's that old saying? "If it walks like a duck, does vertical takeoff and landing like a duck, shoot!"

            Some national and state parks conservation area forbid drone activities.

            As well as others, main rule is just dont be an arse... its easy enough...lol

              If anyone is curious about rules and regulations, FAA source is best bet.

              There are tons of videos, but FAA WEB SITE is best place though.
