    Social media invites Darwin candidates

There are many, many, things people do to capture attention of people they do not know and will never know,
I have never understood why there is such a need for attention.
This is a video of a biker who pushes things pretty far.
It is not the speed numbers he reaches (I feel sure there are some of us who have either done it or come close at times), but his manner of driving.
Darwin has to be getting close....

Rendon Dietzmann's viral Youtube video of a speedy interstate journey leads to an arrest warrant and multiple charges in Colorado.

About a year and a half ago I had someone on a sport bike "sharing the lane" while blowing past me at that kind of speed. My first impression was a bit of anger but after asking myself why he ticked me off it was really about envy! I've done plenty of stupid crap out there myself over the years, he just did it better.

LONG list of previous bikes not listed here.

I identify as a man but according to the label on a box of Stauffers Baked Lasagne I'm actually a family of four

Riding like that is like playing Russian Roulette. One small zig when he should have zagged and it's all over. Its not a matter of if, it's a matter of when...
It won't be long till his You-Tube Chanel is permanently shut down...

Yep Lab, we were equally as stupid, just bikes were not equally as fast... I watched this entire video several months ago. I wasn't really watching for anything then, but don't remember his face nor a license plate, anything that would positively identify him. But they have all kinds of stuff these days.

That was my overall thinking.. I have been riding for many years but whenever I had a bike upwards of 130 mph there was empty road ahead.
          .
He is definitely a skilled rider, but what I saw was many, many, .really close moments (some while he was bragging) and where any misjudgment or even a very slight movement by one of the other vehicles would end it for him.

And....the only reason it was done was so he could post it to social media...

Something similar happened on Vancouver Island a couple of times .... The first video is 12 years ago and the second one is two years ago ..... { Trev hasn't been able to account for his whereabouts on either occasion } .....

I used to lane split all the time on motorways (quite legal in the UK and Ireland) but never above 60mph in moving traffic and generally only around 20mph faster than the surrounding traffic. Still do it from time to time.
Anyway, I developed a way of making progress that wouldn't offend the odd traffic cop who saw me, and that's the important bit.
That guy in the video is a clown and just waiting for the first lane-changer to take him out.

You guys are a bunch of old fogeys. What's wrong with a little good clean fun? Bikes these days are limited to 300 kph, so...

I'm happy to say I was never that stupid. It didin't take long to find examples of what this type of riding results in:

Vmas, glad you were never that stupid. Many young folks, like we were back then were that stupid. My opinion, when we were doing those things, none of us were thinking stuff like what's in your video would ever happen. If we'd seen that video it may have slowed us down a little, but back in those younger days, maybe not.... Thinking after enough birthdays it's a lot easier to realize what can happen.

Friends and I did stupid things, personally I never did it where there was a possibility of injuring others.

Been to a few parties where the street was lined with party goers and guys doing what we called a " mad max " stunt.

Luckily the few times I seen somebody lose control no one got hurt, cept for motorcycle and rider....and never anything but few scraps..lol

This is not a social media stunt, but is a current news video that sure shows outright stupidity
