    "Third Man Syndrome"

The title of the thread is taken from an article that uses the term.

I had not heard of this term until today, but the article has some parts to which I can almost directly relate, so I thought it might be interesting to see if anyone else has had "Third Man Syndrome" experience(s).

    .
I like to think that science is a means of mankind trying to understand and explain reality, while reality itself is not always subject to man-made rules or interpretations.

Do you have a life moment like one of these?

Whether you believe "Third Man Syndrome" is paranormal, psychological, or spiritual, there's no denying that a lot of these people wouldn't be here today unless someone — or something — had intervened.

Of all the things that have happened to me, none have been a supernatural event.

Hard to imagine The Great Pyramids or Stonehenge without a Caterpillar, a Buckner, a Lapidary, a Third Man, some Paranormal, or Supernatural.... And the 1st three weren't around back then.

You can say that again. But these 'testimonies' are proof positive that Grimly is right. Or you can just put on a "god helmet," subjecting your noggin to magnetic waves, and see any god you want to.

The brain can do odd things in extreme situations. Supernatural? Um, highly unlikely.

I have at least one compelling story of my own that I could add to that collection.

But I do NOT believe in the supernatural. What I do believe is that there is a vast, perhaps infinite, amount of the natural that we do not yet know about. One only need to compare what was considered as natural circa 1800 with what is considered natural and normal today--much of which would have been considered miraculous if not supernatural back then.

Marconi did not invent radio waves. The were always there.
Believe in truth. To abandon fact is to abandon freedom.

                  Nature bats last.

Personally, I think the quantum universe(s) are something supernatural.

It's the boarding a bus and finding myself in Alpha Centauri that hacks me off.

That bus is an odd one.
