I was once on the Whitestone Expressway (5 lanes each direction) and a 'Bergman' and a normal bike (650?) were splitting lanes at about 70 mph. The guy on the Bergman looked to be around 300 pounds.
Something with wheels that small should not be going so fast. I hate the small wheels and the 'step thru' design. What I really hate is when moped riders claim to be motorcycle riders. Not in my book. And I doubt Krusty would let them in his inner circle.1982 GS1100E V&H "SS" exhaust, APE pods, 1150 oil cooler, 140 speedo, 99.3 rear wheel HP, black engine, '83 red

If I leave it for a month, I just take the trailer.
However, having said that, I was seriously considering a Burgman a few months ago, but the deciding factor is the weather. I'm not really looking forward to several more years of winter shopping on the bike. A small 4-wheeler is in the offing, methinks.---- Dave

I've owned this relic longer then the 1150.... I've recently come to the conclusion that with the proliferation of ever bigger / faster and unregistered E bikes that an old man on a 60 year old unregistered scooter is a non event to the local police. The other day I rode right down Main Street in evening traffic...

Yesterday a kid was riding an e-bike at a rooftop parking lot just north of the city in Westchester. Rode the bike over the side and fell 5 stories to his death. On a human powered bike or skateboard, I don't think there would have been the momentum to propel him over the side.
Signs prohibit riding skateboards or bikes up there, but a neighbor said he frequently sees kids taking the elevator to the top with their boards and bikes.1982 GS1100E V&H "SS" exhaust, APE pods, 1150 oil cooler, 140 speedo, 99.3 rear wheel HP, black engine, '83 red

On May 24th, a 97-year-old woman out for her morning stroll had her necklace stolen. Can you guess what kind of vehicle the thief was on? (I'll give you one guess.)
It happened in Harlem. The woman suffered bruised hips and a gash on her arm. She said the 18 carat gold chain was priceless because it was a gift from her daughter, and that the man should be caught and jailed for 90 years.1982 GS1100E V&H "SS" exhaust, APE pods, 1150 oil cooler, 140 speedo, 99.3 rear wheel HP, black engine, '83 red
