This morning, I started to go out for a ride around 10:00am, and when I walked outside the temp was 82 degrees, not too bad!
But the humidity was 87%! Started sweating just walking to the garage!
Decided that since the forecast called for a mid 90's high today, I would just mow the lawn instead!Ron
When I die, just cremate me and put me in my GS tank. That way I can go through these carbs, one more time!https://www.thegsresources.com/_forum/core/images/smilies/cool.png

I'm loving NW Pennsylvania, tons of affordable camping and although it may hit the 90 deree mark there's plenty of shade to hide out in.1980 Yamaha XS1100G (Current bike)

97°F last Sunday on highway 77 in northeast Ohio!
It was about 7 degrees cooler on the back side roads.
I was coming home from Marietta Ohio Sunday. It was getting hot and I needed a break and some water. I came up to a 4 way intersection and noticed a line of shade trees along a fellows nicely mowed lawn. I went to the end of his property, I parked the motorcycle on the side of the road and sat in the shade. After about 10 minutes a gentleman came out just to see if I was okay. I told him I was just relaxing under his shade tree. A real nice fellow. We ended up chit-chatting, he told me I could stay there as long as I wanted... I now have another spot to pull over and relax. My Motorcycles:

My understanding is that a "heat index" can not only be a higher number but may be quite different from a number depicting actual temperature. I have ignored them for many years.
It was more than a few years ago that I saw my highest temperature experience on a bike. I rode through Kansas when the actual temperature was 116F/45C, wearing leather jacket and a helmet. Locals asked me how I could stand it, but I felt OK. Today, I think I feel both cold and heat more than then.Bertrand Russell: 'Men are born ignorant, not stupid. They are made stupid by education.'

Not if you don't have a fairing bottling up your engine's heat. Or you're pushing a piece of plexiglass in front of your face.
Not if you have a modern, light-weight helmet.
Not if you're 22. Sigh.1982 GS1100E V&H "SS" exhaust, APE pods, 1150 oil cooler, 140 speedo, 99.3 rear wheel HP, black engine, '83 red

Arizona desert heat 100-110 plus. We rode mostly off road, dual sport stuff. Train for the heat. Proper hydration plus nutrition. We d easily do full day 100s of miles. We d have riders join via online that wouldn’t make it one hour. We d abort those adventures and accompany the red hot riders back to AC. Water and electrolytes. Caution knowing when to cool down. Good times another life ago.
I ride a bicycle in 100 degree plus weather. Kinda get accustomed to it within your known limits.EULC ON
