But I was expecting at sometime toward the end of article that it would say this McCulloch and Pitts experience was the inspiration for the 1985 movie "weird science "

Speaking of Pirsig I got a hold of a copy of "Lila" about a month back, great follow up to "Zen" So much so that I reread that too!

Probably repeating myself but I've read Zen four times, each a decade apart, and it's been a completely different book each time.
Age makes you pick out different things perhaps.
Ultimately, if your are lucky enough to have a kid and a bike, go for a ride before it's too late.
All the rest is just flim flam jibber jabber.

It's there ...... I switched to using my tablet as an e-reader some years ago. Much better. I can adjust the font size and brightness to suit my tired old eyes. Not to mention it automatically bookmarks when I nod off to sleep . And the big plus . I don't actually have to go to the library to take out a book ......

Looks to me that they have one print version to lend. Here's my favorite source for e-books, Lila isn't available for downloading but you can read it while connected to the net. Believe it or not I found it at a Dollar General of all places for only $3!

No they have it as an e-book . It's the fifth one on the list. Three are two holds on it so he'd have to wait a bit for it..... I thought " Internet Archive " was for music but I see that there is more to it than that ......
