    RIP Kris Kristofferson

RIP Kris Kristofferson, 88. He was a good guy. I always enjoyed his movie acting.

Last of the 4 "Highwaymen"... Thanks for what they brought to country music... Half way between the old Roy Acuff and Hank Snow music and the new Keith Urban Jason Aldean stuff.

True story, Kris performed here at Murray State University not long after Why me Lord was released. Many folks attended expecting a Gospel concert. Kris and his band were several drinks in before taking the stage After several F bombs several people walked out with many women reading their husbands the riot act for "bringing them to see such filth" LOL. RIP Kris

Life is a balancing act, enjoy every day, "later" will come sooner than you think. Denying yourself joy now betting you will have health and money to enjoy life later is a bad bet.

I was a fan...RIP....I had a lot of respect for him when he went on stage to comfort Sinead O'Connor.
Youtube had blocked my original upload of this great song due to scenes I had used from the Bob Dylan Tribute. So this is shorter, because I left out Kris's ...

I listened to him (and the Highwaymen-of whom, Willie is still around) all the way back on a ride from AZ to NM yesterday. Even Dylan accorded him major status as a songwriter, saying that he completely changed the country music landscape.

Not a big country music fan. But when ripping across Texas I always listen to old (classic) country! I love them old guys. Willy and friends...

Thanks Pilot, I just got home from the local store where they informed Willie was still around. For some reason I'd thought Willie had passed a yr. or so ago. I's fix'in to correct my mistake, but you beat me to it.

The guy that left his first family to be a hippie? Don't think his Ma and Pa were too proud of him and that direction. Maybe there was more to that story...

Saw Convoy as a kid, double feature with Hot Lead and Cold Feet if I remember right. Don't remember a thing about either.

Who cares what his mother and father thought? He changed country music, inspired the likes of Dylan, and was a true American on all counts. "To Beat the Devil" is a stunner, and there are so many others.

Sad to hear he's gone. He was one of the good guys. Not many of the old guard left.
