I did not get a reply to my last text to him which was over three weeks ago. I just sent him another text plus an email.

On the positive side I just searched his name in the Brooksville, FL obits and he wasn't there. So I guess we just wait until he either posts or texts back. Unfortunately he did not tell me which hospital he is/was in so I can't check that way.

I will keep trying and will post anything I learn as soon as I learn it.

Last I heard he was at a cabin 100 miles north of Brooksville, that county might be worth keeping an eye on for obits too.

After not getting a reply to text or email I just got old fashioned and called Earl's phone number. Yay, he answered. He is back in Brooksville though at another temporary location. Things are in limbo on the housing front pending response from FEMA to which they have submitted the necessary paperwork.

On the health front he made it out of the hospital on Dec 23rd. He is getting around on a walker which was a step up from the wheel chair. Lung function however is going to be a continuing issue. He had recurring bouts with pneumonia while in the hospital and he already was dealing with COPD. It looks like oxygen is going to be his companion from now on.

So not the greatest of news but much better than it could have been. Hallelujah he is still with us and his voice on the phone sounds like the same old Earl. He said he has an internet connection but it is painfully slow. I told him I would check in frequently and relay any messages two way.

Let's see, back in Brooksville, out of hospital, moved up from wheel chair to walker, seems to be heading in the right direction... Thinking we'll all be tickled to see a post on here from him soon... Appreciate the update.
