Edit: there are all kinds of explosions occurring outside in my area right now. People are celebrating! The police are on high alert, trying to stop "street takeovers". A buddy has an Infiniti G37 coupe, which is a prime theft target by the takeover crowd. I suggested he up his theft insurance. They steal high-powered rear-wheel drive cars, do burnouts and donuts with them during the takeover, then they smash them and set the stolen cars on fire. Thus is the way of life in Los Angeles these days...
Edit: looting in downtown LA last night. Apparently, destruction of private property, and theft, is how people celebrate these days.
