    Gene Hackman

For some reason always like his characters and how he portrayed them in his own way.

And this ending , to me seems just like what I'd expect from Gene.

Yep, what I've been see'in just keeps us scratching our heads. Not carbon monoxide, gas is not poisonous nor dangerous to breathe, pills weren't anything that could cause this, even with overdose... Hope when revealed it will be something believable and nothing that will make us keep scratching.

I listened to a show that mentioned the known to the public details. I am thinking he found her on the bathroom floor which was traumatic, headed towards the door for help and he suffered a heart attack. Doesn't seem like a crime was committed to me.

No clue, we'll just have to wait, one article, a day or so ago, "suggested" he'd been dead longer than her. This morning, after autopsy, only mention of time was possibly up to 3 wks.

Well the Sherriff briefing did handily note the presence of two "descendants" so the case is in great if not literate hands.
Sorry sad way to end a life 9 days gone per data pulled from his pacemaker.

Yet two dogs were found outside in good health...................one dead inside.
Did one partner die and then the other of shock followed by doggie eating some potent meds that got dropped?
Its nasty but had the dog lived he would have eventually eaten the corpses......................
The autopsy will tell all and one on the dog as well to test toxicology unless the miserable old bastard killed the dog.

One news cast said the dog possibly starved, rekon who was feeding those other 2? Thinking if we get enough guesses, when what happened is revealed, somebody's guess may be correct.

The more famous the person, the bigger the story of their death has to be, unless it's cut and dried simple. My theory is that they will figure it out, publish the reason, and many people won't believe it. But he was far from being in his prime, so maybe it'll just fade away due to lack of relevance to the hot minute of news.

I liked Gene a lot, some of the French Connection scenes like the diner were pretty cringe-worthy but eh, whatever. I remember watching 'Enemy of the State' a couple of years after leaving the NSA. Not his fault (Tony Scott, ahem), but I think they meant it to be the FBI. The NSA has no 'agents' with guns etc. It's a passive intel collection (SIGINT, COMINT, HUMINT, ELINT etc) agency. That gave me a good chuckle seeing guys with guns playing secret-agent man. I wasn't alone. It was sort of a joke. But Gene made it worth a watch.
