I was just laughing at the figure of speech. Never heard a bike called that before. I'm going to steal that moving forward!

I would say my Bonneville T120 is definitely a tinkerer's bike for sure! Ive been in that thing on more than one occasion to get it home. There is certainly my welds that reside in the guts of that lump, and it still runs awesome.

    Favorite Bike.

    Cheers!

Maybe. Maybe not, Trev. You do go on at length about stereotypes that have ceased to apply, though.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Guzzi's ..... I've got friends that are fiercely loyal in spite of the fact their brand new Guzzi spends an unfortunate amount of time in the shop ......

Precisely, my friend. I've been explaining for the past six or so years that the Evolution and Twin Cam motors are pretty much as reliable as anything produced in Japan. The M8 was, unfortunately, engineered by BMW, so it still seems to be having oil (sumping and leaking) issues, the previous two motor designs the MoCo has employed have been damned good.

I was contemplative about buying the new V100 Mandello for the most recent bike.

Than I realized Guzzi was owned by Piaggo... I'm set thanks.

I was fine with just sticking with Triumph's. At least I know how they aren't reliable and can fix the known issues.

The older Guzzis, as in the V11 models, were extremely dependable.
