He was "fostered" out to a family that wanted to adopt him recently. He had had recent dental work so after a week the spca went to visit him and discovered the family was keeping him outside chained up to a tree...the spca took him back. And we are glad they did...what is wrong with people?
He had a good night's sleep and he is eating all his food, something that was not happening in care at spca.
Looking forward to introducing him to my buddies and their dogs at this Friday's safety meetingNo signature :(

Every dog we’ve had has been an adoption of someone’s unwanted pet. That’s not entirely fair. Two of them came from people who were forced to move and they were not able to keep the dog. I can’t imagine “buying a dog”. No shame to those that do, but there are so many abandoned dogs that just haven’t met the right family. This is our current rescue Zoey. She’s now 10. We got her at 2-1/2. She’s the best. But so were they all.

We feel the exact same way....so many dogs needing good homes....hard to justify going to a breeder for us...
I posted this on my facebook profile yesterday (funny how I came across it yesterday)....I have been feeling a touch guilty about adopting another dog so close after Oreo's passing.....but I think Oreo would approve.

Ugh, your neighbor’s “dog” looks like the forest rat that nearly took me out on this evening’s ride. Thank goodness I was on the Tiger with the big front dual twin pots. It was the first time I put my emergency braking practice to practical use. Loving the ABS. My old GS with the weak-azz single front disk would not have had a chance. Man I hate deer. Crested a hill and there she stood, right in the middle of the rode like a, well, you know…..Rich
