the earlier standard models are great, too but the KZ is the one i like best.
Just keep looking, for some reason it is less desirable for collectors so who knows you may find a great one. I will keep looking for one !Rijk

If I could afford to buy and restore a KZ1300, THAT would be a bike I'd love, but parts are harder to get, take longer to get, and it is unique enough to make long journeys on one seem a bit daunting. The 1300 is my favorite bike ever, next is the Eddy Lawson replica, but i like the huge 6 cylinder better ... hope to find a good one i can afford. If i could choose it would be a Z but the KZ is awesome too. Would jump at either.

I have to jump in here. I also would love to have a standard KZ1300. Ever since I was a kid and seeing one at the Kawasaki dealership, I wanted one. A guy I know calls it a "Desk!" Because of its large fuel tank... ☺
