Rented a car to go for definate job offer in Outer Banks, N.C. this holiday weekend, just got back.
ONLY song I heard that I liked for some reason. Deep lyrics, weird vocals ,
Right when I was thinking of leaving town for good...cool (classic) song for some reason (never liked it before) :

Funny part is "Stranger" , me and wife never talk much and it's something.
Dunno what to do still, I need to put in notice where I'm at. She's saying won't go until July or August.
I have definate job, places will all be rented by then Hmmm...sayin' my girls should finish the school year here AFTER she told me they could go URGH!!! I'll figure it out tommorrow hopefully.
Sometimes this thread jams up my computer, brought back a newer Apple!!! From trip Haven't tried it yet though.

Supertramp is one of my favorite bands. Good gods, their music is a time machine ...

Did a samping of the Art Of The Fuges. Interesting......
And I thought the 10 minute plus songs I've been listening to were long.

^^^^Great Blues music there, Had this one stuck in head, then realized the lyrics are sort of stupid, Catchy though (Very catchy) That's EXACTLY what IIRC, Kurt Cobain mentioned about their own music in an interview I saw once though.
Can't recall which member from the band used the "My Sherona" song as an example/ comparison and stated it was catchy nonsense...cool song. Another '93 song same year as my only current MC, (It's a beast compared to the FZ-09 from the vid I saw...wondering what mods besides Mikuni RS and jets/pods...has a GSX-R clutch master, wondering...)

URGH! haven't tried my new Apple 'cause moving soon, it's boxed very nice...

I wasn't a much of a fan when they were popular, just was acceptable compared to the rest of music for me.
Now it brings back memories and is part of that era I guess. My older brother knew (knew of(?)) Dave Groh from high school. But he knew everybody and was a drummer himself...At the time of tragic loss of Kurt Cobain the joke went , "What color were Kurt Cobain's (Or they'd say "Kabang's) eyes?"
"Blue, One blew this way and other blue that way" Terrible joke. Circumstances tho'...
I always related most to this one when I just could never get sober for a time years ago, reminded me of people who could, sort of don't want to remember it:

I'll always MOSTLY remember them for this one though:

...Had a girlfriend with rich parents back then. We had our own TV room/ wing of the house. Gotta love memories from things watched is all.

Dave Grohl did some interesting stuff.
My favorite was his Probot side project- basically an all star type of CD. This is one of my favorites from that. Eric Wagner from Trouble on vocals- Trouble is another band I was heavily into.

I got the latest Whisky Daredevils CD, "The Good Fight", and stuck it in my GF's car. e went to see my uncle Norm, USMC Korean War vet in the hospital. He is doing better.

If you like intelligent and humorous lyrics in raw Rock and Roll, with a thick slice of humor, the Whisky Daredevils are for you. Straight out of Cleveland, on Drink'n drive records.

Not my favorite of their records. No great songs like "Wichita Buzzcut", "Deadman's Clothes", Jack Evans wants His Lighter Back, Senorita, or "She's Kissing You", bu still, Greg Miller is still pretty f'ing clever. http://nursethehate.blogspot.com/ Still my favoirte current rock band, and the most fun, plus, he threw in a T Shirt with the last CD. That probably won't happen with the Stones. Correct me if Jagger has ever contacted you about a late Rolling Stones T Shirt delivery.

Uncle Norm is doing better. He is a keystone to my family, and the husband of my mother's twin sister, Aunt Joan. They are the closest people I have ever known; Thicker than blood or wine. He takes care of her. She isn't healthy, but my mother is. If he goes, my aunt Joan goes. If my aunt Joan goes, my mother goes. I'm serious.

Well, it was Monday night music, but I just got back from seeing Tift Merritt at a local listening room type place*. Great show, if you get a chance to see here don't pass it up.

*The Blue Door in Oklahoma City. Seats maybe 90-100 people. Incredible place to see a show. No alcohol sales, but you can bring your own beer or wine. The list of people who've played there is a virtual who's who of the Americana/Red Dirt/Alt Country world. Joe Ely, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Lucinda Williams, Dave Alvin, Alejandro Escoveda, John Fulbright, Carll Hayes, James McMurtry, The Bottle Rockets, Arlo Guthrie...on and on. Muuuuch better than seeing a show at a bar or club, everyone's listening to the music and not screaming at their buddies about some stupid thing. If you like that kind of music and live within a day's drive it's worth keeping on your radar. Talked to 3 guys tonight who had come up from Dallas.

Great band. Long before that movie, I used to see them a lot at a club in Asbury Park called the Fast Lane. This was back in '78-79. Every once in awhile Springsteen would pop in and do a song with them.
