Influencing the grandkids

This past weekend was the grandkids first wrestling tournament. I think it was a little overwhelming but he handled it.



His little brother seemed to enjoy it but also had no problem snoozing in the bleachers during all the excitement.



I suppose we're back to spending many winter weekends in the bleachers of some high school gym again. There was also an old-timers tourny that my beemerpunk kid wrestled in. Other than being a bit out of shape and way heavier than he used to be, he did ok. I'm pretty sure my wrestling days are over but it really looked fun.

Three generations of wrestling, eh.
That is good. SOmething you can all share.
(although wresting tournaments suspended now, I suspect. But that is another discussion.)

Havent visited with grandkids for about 3 weeks now.
Our kids said they all were going to stay away from us.

We facetime them.
THe 8yo and 5yo do show us something they were doing, art project, toys, which is fun, and then they want to runn off.

THe 2yo is fun to watch, but hard to keep her attention.

SOmetimes she ask her mom to "Call Mimi" or "Call Papa",
which is fun, but we need to show her things to keep her attention.


Sometimes she asks "Call Wee-Wumm" (what she calls the doggie)

Nice Dave....We do what we can.

Our oldest granddaughter is having her 11th birthday in late April, and our daughter is working on a virtual zoom (?) party.

Now the 2 year old is not asking Call Mimi, not asking Call Papa,
is asking "Call Soo-pee" (her name for Snoopy)

Which is fun.
We can watch her dance with Snoopy's music and dancing.
And then we can visit with our daughter some too.

Well, we did have a pizza night online the other day with the 3 familys.
But us here at this house had a store bought frozen pizza. (THat wrapper didnt make much of a hat.)
We all did mention that getting together and having pizza from that local place (that has the yellow stripped bags) will be the first celebration.

Josiah is back for a while, I have a half dozen trees of 60’ or better for him to chop up. For relaxation we will be doing a little target shooting. 132 yards, 22 and high power.
