I had hoped to leave it pretty open for interpretation. What I really wanted to see were volcanoes, like Cabezon Peak In my pic, but I'm guessing not many folks have that photo opportunity. So some derivative of the word peak, which sounds the same spelled three different ways, I thought would give more freedom to be creative.

Not exactly what I had in mind there, but I did kind of set that up.

One of the things I love about this game is when someone nails the theme, but not in the way the creator intended.
Hats, roofs, and sailing vessels have peaks.
Peak can also be used as an adjective or verb.

                  On the contrary, I noticed.

Not sure if I was "blessed" or "cursed" with an editor's eye, but my fifth-grade lessons in spelling and grammar have taught me to notice mistakes in the majority of posts here on GSR and other forums I visit. Social graces learned a bit later in life have taught me that it's worthless to point out these mistakes, so I just shake my head, try to read was was intended and move on.

So last year Sandy, his brother and I were the PNW rally. Sandy and I rode up to Mt Rainier and camped the night, then said our goodbyes. My road took me the back way on the east side to St Hellens, on a road posted "proceed at your own risk". this photo was taken early on that road. You might say that we are getting a peek at a mountain that has lost it's peak.

THIS IS NOT AN ENTRY. It is just to show that "peak" is really open to interpretation.

A "peak" is usually a high point. There is also mention of "flatlanders" and the interest in seeing what they might come up with.

This is hardly a sharp, high point as pictured by others, but it IS the highest point around.

I might have something a bit more mountainous, but it might not have a bike in the picture.

Yep, our "mountains" are generally not tall, flat topped, not pointy type. I'm still looking thru pics.

Great shot Vince, great trip. This was taken of Mt. Rainier shortly after leaving camp and heading home. No cars in the parking lot either. It was totally full of cars and people the afternoon before.

We only have a few distinguishing "peaks" here in Vermont but we do have our namesake (Vert-Mont = Green Mountain; in french) which is a gorgeous mountain range that spans North to South. Here's a shot of Mt Horrid (southern tip) and her sisters, the Green Mountains. Taken in The Champlain Valley in a town called Leicester.
