I was reading through the previous themes and thought, you know what would be really cool, Kerry. If each one of the themes named in your spreadsheet here was a link to that post. Or maybe the post that has the compiled pics for that particular week. I have seen folks post links to a specific post in a thread, but haven't figured out how to do that myself.

I am a little late by eastern time. My vote would be for Burque again in any case. Appropriate to theme and framed well. I thought it made good contrast to the one I put up at the beginning. One bike and tent in the swamp against two bikes and tents in the mountains.

        Happy Saturday morning to you.

I'll go ahead and tally up the week's votes. At first nearly every pic got a vote, which was cool to watch. Receiving two votes was Jedz123 and my pic got the most at seven votes. Thank you all who liked that shot.

I forgot to mention that was The City Of Rocks State Park. I have something in mind for this coming week. Be back shortly.

Impressionist painting was exactly my thought when I saw kerrfunk's pic. It is something I would consider hanging on a wall in my house.

Kerry, how was it shot? Camera settings or Vaseline on the lens?

I tried to do something like that, thought I could make a link to a posting, then copy-paste and just change the post number... but the code of the link doesn’t have the thread post number. But maybe Kerry has some other way to have that on his spreadsheet. Or perhaps just list the post number would be of some use. Maybe post number of naming the catagory-theme would get to start of all the submission. Or maybe post number of winning pic, but then would have to go forward and back to see others. May not always have a summary (is not part of official procedures).
But that listing of past subject-themes is something that Kerry has volunteered to do, so whatever he suggests and is willing to do.

I will say that has been occassion I have looked at the list, and wanted to go back and find the associated postings, and found it somewhat difficult.

Okay, I just ran a little test. I edited my post starting the Camp Out theme. It was post #4423 in this thread. I put that string, #4423, as the last line in the post.

The bar at the top or each page of posts has the option "Search this thread." I clicked on it and searched that string. It worked.

If we wanted to do it this way my suggestion would be for each winner to edit their theme starter post(s) adding the post # (including the #) and then pass those numbers to Kerry. I am assuming he could add that column to his spreadsheet.

              It is one possibility anyway.

That's a great idea. The only issue is if someone deletes a post it throws off the post numbers from then on.

That's kinda what I figured. A lot of time/ effort would be involved. Maybe moving forward this coming year we could include a searchable phrase in the theme setting post, sorta like Dpep suggested. I just tried searching for "camping" and it brought up two pages of posts with related verbiage.

I've not been the best theme setter, but let's try fog.

Some sort of fog, haze, smoke, shot through a cheese cloth or whatever you feel gives that sort of impression.

Impressionist painting was exactly my thought when I saw kerrfunk's pic. It is something I would consider hanging on a wall in my house.

Kerry, how was it shot? Camera settings or Vaseline on the lens?
I shot it on my cameraphone, and the details say ISO40, 1/320 sec. f/1.9 2.47mm, 2048x1536 pixels, 879.2 KB

I think I was standing a ways back, and used digital zoom to close frame the shot. You can kind of see that the bike is on the road, but the very bottom foreground is actually a split rail fence. I didn't use a tripod but I might have used something to stabilize the shot. I think the pixelation is due to the digital zoom. And I used whatever Microsoft photoeditor is on my computer to "warm" the colors up a bit, and soften the edges too. I wish the sign weren't there in front of the bike, but that's beyond my ability to remove.

I can work on that. Off the top of my head I think I'd link to the summation post, instead of the single winning picture for each week, what do you think?

Here's a fog shot I like, behind my previous residence, but there's no bike in it, lol.
