      Good Morning..
      Tally.
      Steve Murdoch - 4
      Baatfam - 4
      Dpep - 2
      Gustovh - 1
      Eli - 1
      GSGENO - 1
      RichGS750TZ - 1
      Redman - 1

I amost goofed as the last vote was for Steve, not Steve Murdoch.. I didn't see an entry from Steve so I'm assuming it was for Mr. Murdoch... making it a tie between Steve Murdoch and Baatfam.

I'll throw in a tie breaker and vote for Steve Murdoch.

His CBX has got to be at least three times more fun to ride than anything in that building.

            Thanks for the votes, Gents.
Also a big thanks to the site members that take the time to monitor and keep this fun thread/game going.
I don't want to name names in case i miss someone, but a lot of us appreciate your efforts.

Lets go with "fairings" this week.
Big, small, stock, homemade, sport, touring, fiberglass, plastic maybe even cardboard.
Anything you are using to get a bit of protection from the wind.

            My collection of S fairings.
3 are replicas and the plain black one is a legit oem version.

Sorry, but I don't have one that is merely "big".

This was back in 1979. Quarts of oil still came in round cans. Touring magazines rated storage in a fairing by whether you could fit an oil can through the pocket opening. If you could, how many would it hold? Many would not allow a can through the opening. Some would hold one can. Some would sort of hold a second, but you could not close the lid.

This monster could hold EIGHT quart cans. ON EACH SIDE.
Yep, a total of 16 one-quart cans of oil, and still have room for a few rags or a pair of thin gloves.

FINALLY up to 60 deg. today and got out for about 30 miles or so of mostly mountain forest roads (packed gravel, turned to mostly mud, some patches of still melting snow). Riding was hairy at some points but the Shinko 705's continue to impress me in the sloppy stuff. First ride since Christmas Day. Time to wash the bike.

I was experimenting with the panoramic feature on my phone and something went terribly wrong.

If one faring is good two must be better. Eh? Back in 2007 or so I lost most of the plastic works on my GK to an unmarked curve down in the Ocala National Forest. At the time we had a member named Miss Fabulous who lived in upstate New York and who a) was holding a GS ride/rally, and b) needed to liquidate a rough looking GK she had bought with ugly but intact plastic parts. So.....

Long story short: I rode up to NY on my GK without luggage and moved the intact ugly stuff over from the now parts bike. I decided a spare fairing wouldn't be a bad thing to have so I wound up bringing it back as well. This rig as shown was ridden from the Rochester NY area down to Florida.
