I know that bright brilliant collors getts attention for sunset photos, but I have reasons that I like this shot, dispite the lack of such colors.
Is in October, and that is sand blown up on the sidewalk along side the road, so I parked bike on the sand covered sidewalk, with it being October and little traffic I could step back out into the street. Makes the shot looks like I am parked on the beach, so that made it an interesting scene. (Since looks like parked somewhere not expect to see a bike... welcome to my wierdness.)
And then I waited for abit to see if maybe some more color might appear, and along came some volenteers to make it a more interesting scene. THey give some scale and depth perception.

October 2013, early evening, looking west over Lake Michigan, Grand Haven.

Well, sometimes that happens in the evening when looking west, and sometimes that happens in the morning looking east but then it happens in reverse .......

In that picture Dont know if was looking east or west, can not tell which direction sun is going, maybe he held the camera upside down......

                  Same bike facing west.

Not as cool looking if you ask me.

That is an interesting feature of sunsets or sunrizes; Each day it can be different, based on cloud coverage and humidity. And on any one occassion, it can change in a matter of minutes.

Which looks like what some dealers could install in 78 or 79, but had Suzuki badges.

Very true. What Suzuki offered as a dealer-installed option was the Calafia STX fairing.

Went along with the Calafia saddlebgs. The bags they offered on the GSes were the 'standard' model, which had a cut-out for the muffler. I had the Calafia "Fats" on my KZ1300. The bags were considerably wider, had no cut-out for the muffler and had a light on the back.
