First bike was a 73 DT250. No pics
1973 500/4......Pic Taken in 1981.
Had it 11 days when I T boned a car. Both to blame. Bent the frame and the bike was in parts for 12 months and moved house with me. Couldn't afford new mufflers so I made baffles out of tightly rolled up chicken wire to use for baffles. Great when idling around town and would sing a song when opened up. Paint job cost me $130.00 in 1980.
First bike I striped down and put back together. 12 months after the crash I sat up at night drinking rum and smoking dope trying to figure out where what went where. Didn't bag and tag and it had been sitting in boxes for 12 months so just went off the manual pics and tried to apply common sense, ( he says drunk and stoned), not now, then.

When consulting the magic 8 ball for advice, one must first ask it "will your answers be accurate?"

I bought my 450 Rebel off the showroom floor and rode it out the door in 1987. It is sitting now waiting its turn to be cleaned up and rode again sometime this summer.

I don't remember for sure Glen, I just remember seeing RAM AIR etched into the top of the eng., thinking 500 or 550, and always thought that had to mean performance (though probably not). My first was a "77" GS750 and know the Ram Air was before them.1983 GS1100E, 1983 CB1100F, 1991 GSX1100G, 1996 Kaw. ZL600 Eliminator, 1999 Bandit 1200S, 2005 Bandit 1200S, 2000 Kaw. ZRX 1100

I had a GT380 for a little while. Definitely had a weird shaped top of the motor. shapedto suck in air for cooling. Cool bike. Never ran though. It had set outside just too long to save.2002 bmw r1150gs 1978 gs1000E skunk les pew 1979 gs1000L dragbike

I was probably 17 here (sitting behind my dad) in 1991. Wasn't much for taking pictures back then so this is the only pic of any of my bikes until decades later. Mom must have snapped this one of Dad and I on my first bike, a Rebel 250. One of the rare occasions that he was home as he was a long haul trucker. He's only 47 in this pic. Seems really weird that I'm now just a bit older than he was here and now I have a grandson that's as old as I was sitting on this Rebel, but I digress.
