What is the difference between a photo and a picture?? Curious...

Think about this, maybe good framing, exposure, leading lines, composition, and balance is why you like the photo...

Strange to see my bike turn up twice in a thread about somebody else's bike. I have no explanation for that. Maybe there isn't one. For the record, it's a 1000G.

Scott's picture was taken from the Cherahola Skyway, just a couple weeks after my first low-side in some invisible gravel. Scott and Jim generously let me take the lead up US129, claiming they've never been there before. I saw gravel in every corner, whether it was there or not.

Well, Photograph has framing, exposure, leading lines, composition, and balance and all means something... A picture can have these but not mandatory, doesn't mean much as it's just a picture... Kind'f like the difference in a lawn and a yard, lawn all neat and groomed to really look nice, a yard is just a yard, dirt around house with grass growing in it.

          Very good....
To me, a photo is a picture, but a picture may not always be a photo. It could be a painting, drawing, etc.
However, you are correct about lawns and yards....and I love your description....Nicely done...

OK, found a pic with another GS. I was escorting Stator over to Andy Vanice. Shortly after they got acquainted, Andy got lost at sea......sort of. Covid caused all of the ports to close and nobody would let him dock. Stator, on the other hand, was marooned here in Albuquerque for a bit.

Many moons ago. Probably around 2003-04 when a family friend organized a memorial ride in honor of my father. My long suffering ES (it was already on its second fairing after a lowside) next my former E that I foolishly sold to my brother. He soon sold it... in the pic my brother is leaning on my late uncle's shoulder. My uncle put 68k miles on that Triumph Legend before passing from injuries from a moto wreck in 2013.

NE GSR Rally from a few years ago. There is a person and a couple bikes in this pic that are no longer with us. A great gathering. Good food and very rowdy partying.

My GS Skunk is about the 7th one down the line. I'm afraid I can't remember whose 750 that is.

That was Sam's. He rode up from Boston area and shared his pictures of the cross country trip he did on it. It was a beautiful bike.

Voting for kerrfunk, just cause his "L" model needs the attention way more than the others.
