Yes stock Suzuki, No not stock for an "83" GS1100E. They add nice contrast to the dark drab black eng.

        Exactly.
When I got her, she was mostly an '82 with an '82 title, and some square headlight (not the lunch box).
Wheels and the engine were '83, with the '82 valve cover.

I replaced the frame with one from an '83, (w/title). Found the correct round headlight, instruments, pegs, etc.
Now it's mostly '83, except the valve cover because yes, it does look better.

It looked like this when it came home in 2005...$500 off eBay.

        NOT ENTRIES

I don't see the 3 stripes (ridges) I'd expect to see on '82 or '83 cam end covers.

Also, yours has the ends of the head fins bare (ala the original Kaw Z1), which I think looks better than all black as I believe stock '83s were.

Rob, some of the TSCC engines had flat chrome rectangular cam end caps. My 82 750Z does. Not sure which ones got the fins.

The 82 cam covers had 3 black stripes...when I restored my 82 I polished the stripes off....

Yeah...don't you just hate people who talk endlessly about motorcycles? Now, quick poll: the 1972 Sportster is or is not the most sexy Sportster.

I didn't realize a 1972 Sportster was a sport bike, Always thought it was just another HD.
