It appears to change direction from a straight line to another straight line. I'd go half a dollar for the bump explanation.

Yeah... about that. Digital photography is great in that one can take a boatload of pics and delete the garbage. Also, it makes it possible to review an image on the spot and adjust as needed. I do both, yet despite this, I still sometimes come home and end up disappointed with my results. It’s fun, and at times humbling. It may seem odd, but this site and some fellow photography enthusiasts here have gotten me back into something that I gave up on years ago. I’m thankful for that.

Here's a re-edit of one from a hike to an alpine lodge (Skoki Lodge) in Banff National Park several years ago. Just clearing up after good old mountain rain storm.

Yep, another beautiful shot. Sandy, did you do anything special to get such sharp focus throughout?
I only ask, because literally just yesterday, I started goofing around with in camera focus stacking.

No. The photo was taken with my old dslr and 18mm and aperture somewhere in the middle. Only a slight crop to get rid of some vignetting. The only fiddling I did was a slight colour adjustment but mainly some lightening of the fore to mid ground grasses.

Wow. Just edited my typos. Did it on my phone and to had rush for a zoom meeting.

Has been almost a week since I last subjected yall to another pier pic.

Sun disapeared behind heavier cloud cover on horizon, so Wasnt any sunset on this recent evening. But I hung around till the lights came on, and found a different perspective to shpw more of the reflection in the channell. Channell unusally calm that evening.
Was some twilight color (out of frame to the right) that can be seen reflecting off the catwalk some.

(Some folks might ask what else I was hanging onto.)

(Am protruding out thru the railing, only a little bit, not as far as would seem. Am at a place a ways down from where the walkway/channel turns a bit. About same place as this pic https://flic.kr/p/2kJAHB2 )
