      This caught my eye.
I may revisit / reshoot it to get some clutter out, but I love the jungle gym elements reaching up to the sky and visible night sky thru them.

Thanks Bob. That was an unexpected image. I set out looking to get some cloud shots as there were some nice banks of wispy passing by at times, saw that and thought ooooh, cool.
I'm finding it tough to get nice cloud images. I can photograph them, but getting a nice image that draws the eye in and around the image is proving difficult - but fun.

With all of my recent camera use I'm learning, videos I've watched are starting to make sense, and I'm starting to come up with a short list of gear wants - mainly a 50mm equivalent prime lens and a good tripod. Ive found I can do much more low light hand held work with the faster prime vs the zoom.

Take a look at the Panasonic 20mm f/1.7 (40mm eq)....first m4/3 lens I bought and very nice in low light. The first version focused slow, but newer version II is much better. New for about $270 at B&H https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produ...tml?ap=y&smp=y
You can get used ones $125-175, maybe cheaper for the version I.

A direct 50mm eq would be the Panasonic 25mm f/1.7 (inexpensive at $150 new, but I don't know much about it), and the 25mm f/1.4 (I have this, very nice, but $600 new). I don't use it much, I prefer the 15mm and the 42.5mm.

Of course you can go with adapted legacy lenses...which is fun...

As for tripod, I just got a new (used) compact one, that fits my smaller saddle bags, (12"), and still goes from 8" to 51" tall.
Not perfect, and not near as strong as my big tripod, but about the best I've found to carry on the bike.

I'll send ya an email later this week with photos.

Thanks for the info. “Play” spending is on hold for the time being. First priority when things free up a bit is to get the bike insured again. Apparently the company that I’ve used since 1992 has been bought out by the company that insures our cars, and as far as administration / paperwork they have been a bit of a mess.

Got on pavement for this pic, parking lot at statepark by the beach.
P1050835 by Dave Redman, on Flickr

What little clouds there were were in direction of the sun, so had to shoot from shadow side of the bike, and use bike as a shield from the sun.

Jeepers, getting low to the pavement was a mistake.
Lots of sand blowing around at that elevation. I put the good camera away real quick.
                Paathhhhh Paauutththththth Puthhh
Was spitting out sand an hour later yet. And digging out of my ears.

I found myself taking pictures of motorcycles when I was in Cairo two weeks ago.
I think the carpet-like cover keeps the seat and tank from getting blisteringly hot.

We develop, produce and market motorcycles and engines. With more than six years of industry experience behind us, we at Guangzhou Dayun Motorcycle can develop products tailored to your market's needs. Currently our catalog has more than 40 models and 200 types of motorcycles and engines for your selection.

We supply to buyers in Europe, the Middle East, North and South America and Africa. And since all motor vehicles are required to have the E-mark label to enter EU countries, we make sure that our motorcycles and engines are qualified. To attain this, we invested more than $2 million in test equipment from Japan and Germany. Last year, we spent $850,000 on new laser sculptors, spectrum analyzers, chassis dynamometer and gas exhaust analyzers.

At Guangzhou Dayun Motorcycle, we see to it that we meet your volume requirements. Our 400,000-square-meter factory is staffed by 2,000 personnel and equipped with four motorcycle assembly lines, two engine production lines, two motorcycle packing lines and five paint spraying lines. These enable us to guarantee you an annual output of more than 700,000 motorcycles and 500,000 engines.

View of construction of a new wing, from the coffee shop in an existing wing.
Was interesting to sit there watching all the construction.
