On vacation in the Finger Lakes, yesterday we kayaked the Cayuga-Seneca Canal. I thought it was a terrible waste of energy for them to operate the lock twice just for us, but it was a pretty cool experience.

The ducks did not enter the lock with us. Someone told me later that the operation of the locks uses no electric power. Hydraulics, I guess. I’ll have to research it. I honestly have no idea how they work.Originally posted by Redman View Post

Taken today on the Ferry across Kentucky Lake between Big Sandy and Danville Tennessee. The temp hit 95* F by the time we got home.

I rode the bike up to Cleveland last week for a work session at the VA hospital and though the ride up on Monday was wet and the GPS made the ride back on Friday very sucky, I got out for some pictures.
You'll need to bring your own forklift if you want to use this stamp.
