My best picture of the day is this one taken with cellphone:

Took 30-40 pics today with that setup.
All of which can serve as a bad example of something.
So used a couple of the better ones here, as bad examples:
For closeup pics of small flowers I got a set of closeup filters (Hoya +1, +2, +4) to use with my adapted Cannon FD 50mm f1.8 lens I use with the GX1. I was advised that an adapted fast 50 or 70 would be good for this (maybe 70 better), .... and I figure the 1.8 is moderately fast. I have...

While walking along the path around a set of waterfalls near Columbus OH today, I found several stones painted similar to this one but of different characters placed in different areas. I'm not sure what the significance of them is but they are pretty neat.

Those colorful painted stones have been popping up in our local park since Covid. They are generally painted with bright colors and have short notes of hope / encouragement painted on them.

Our old dog generally wont walk much farther then the courthouse complex, about 3 blocks away these days.
There are some interesting views there, but there are always lights or some other visual clutter to frustrate me. I just made the clutter the subject in this case... Best I can say is that I find it midly interesting and don't hate it....

Ha, same here. I respect those who know, understand, and can explain the science behind the various setups, but.. I just go with what looks good. It's probably why my good to ungood image ratio heavily favors ungood.

I average about one good photo, for every 25-30 I take....On a good day, LOL....

Yep. It makes one appreciate that very rare moment when things work quickly and easily. It happened to me once this year. Went to a new spot, found a nice image, took some shots, then left smiling.

No, not that talented...Those ants love those flowers...I don't know why, but they are always there. You just have to wait until they walk into the focus plane.
