Looks good. Clearly you put much more time and thought into it then I did with my submission over there. I went for simple.....

Maybe, but I like yours more than mine....LOL....and I stole your light idea....
I like this challenge. Having to think, and be creative, putting together a photo every week is fun. (Even when it isn't that great)

Not stealing, perhaps influenced by others' work. Plus I dont really see anything very similar.
mine was lit by my old film enlarger.

I was using a small handheld led light, behind the bottles. I don't think it was subtle enough.
Wanted to do something like the one below, but it was cloudy this morning. Than I remembered your photo, and the light went on.

Not my photo obviously. It came through on Facebook today, and I think it's pretty cool. (Except for the lack of gear)

Well, I'm glad I was able to provide ideas. I did similar with a handheld mini mag light last night on my pic of the week entry. I wanted the bike lit from the front, but the side panel didnt show as I wanted it to. Changing the exposure / metering spot brought the background away from full black, which I didn't want. I hand held the light and shined it on the panel for some fill light.

I was happy and surprised with this.
Those flowers are tiny, and the image is cropped quite a bit, yet its sharp. And it was the adapted manual foucus lens.

Went for great little hike today. A 45 minute drive and a 2 hour walk got us up to three alpine lakes nestled up against the rockies. The painted turtles were in abundance and actually saw a few wood lilies ...quite rare in our area.

I've been on a short section with my car. Someday I'd like to ride it with the bike.

A bunch of T34A flight trainers flew into the Dayton-Wright Brothers Airport this afternoon for formation flying practice. I couldn't get pictures of the first time they flew low over the house as I was working and didn't expect it. However, after work, I drove over to the airport and was fortunately allowed to walk out to the flight line.
