Not a great shot but shows a little of some of the weird topography we can find around here. That's about a 300' drop to the pond below and the fault, not erosion, is about 3 miles long. We don't normally get up to this spot in the winter but with lack of snow this winter we were able to get the 4x4 within about 2 miles and walk the rest.

Photo is impressive, scene is impressive, and your statement of getting there is impressive also.

25degF, but calm, so was lots of folks out for a stroll, and several photographers.

Reflections. Taken at the Elk and Bison Range at the Land Between the Lakes National Recreation area this morning. About 30 minutes from the house.

Life is a balancing act, enjoy every day, "later" will come sooner than you think. Denying yourself joy now betting you will have health and money to enjoy life later is a bad bet.

                Someday I'll perfect this shot.
The big building is a reflection. The safe and interior lights are seen thru the glass. The place was a bank, but is no longer. Its gone thru a few buisnesses since.

Some people say that photography isn't taking a picture of some object, it is taking a picture of the light. That is more apparent in a lot of your pics.

Impressive. Impressive that you recognized the scene, and were able to capture it.

I have a book called, "Painting with Light" by John Alton. It is really targeted for film makers, but there is a lot of similarity, as you would expect.

Thanks. I was on the fence (metaphorically) with this one... I think if the foreground and L / R sides were any darker it wouldn't have worked. I saw the light on the wall and was like a moth to flame

I'd like to see what it looked like if you cropped out a good part of the bottom and left side. Kind of get lost in the dark stuff.
That would bring the subject, your well lit wall, a little closer.

I played with it a bit. Another of my photography quirks is that I generally only crop to original size, and doing so on this one cut out the top of the lighted wall.
