A couple of years ago, this time of year (fall,) I was on Slickdeals.net and someone posted a deal about discounted Weber grills at Lowe's. Drove to my local store and they had a bunch of them but no signs advertising a discount. A quick trip to customer service confirmed the sale and a credit card swipe later and I had a beautiful all stainless jobbie all to my own! Reason for mentioning is that because this is discount time for grills in most places, and Lowe's offers great discounts when the stars align properly.

I used Lowe's for last grill. The attraction being that they deliver, set up new grill and haul away the old.

.I guess I am already dealing with Lowes as they bought Rona about five years ago, and I definitely can not fault them, as the Rona manager has definitely tried to please me with this.

I have to take the Broil King back to them and this is waiting for transportation. I brought it home in my wife's Sorento and will use that for the return, but it is in the body shop for a couple of days..

            $1400.00 to cook a $8 steak. I don't see the point.

I had to laugh at that one....and began to wonder which applies:
              Goldman or Gustafson?

              Maybe leaning toward the former.

I have been known to take the time to sit and really enjoy a well-aged New York strip, and am looking forward to trying the sear function, as I prefer them "blue".

              BTW
Up here we have been seeing an explosion in food prices, especially for beef.
Right now, for $8./lb you would get the low end "blade steak". .

Also....I may save#100 if I take the black model, which Napoleon told me is not painted but porcelain coated, and the porcelain will retain more heat in winter than the bare stainless.

Get the stainless. I doubt it's a really good grade of stainless but it's sure to be better than carbon steel that's been coated.

Edit: and I was in Costco a few days ago and was just amazed by the $4k refrigerators. Everything is expensive these days it seems.

                  Advice taken!

Rona took back the Broil King junk and gave me a full refund. This is the first time in years that I am without a BBQ.

Placed the order for the mentioned Napoleon 525 which is to be shipped directly to my house. Hopefully it will be here next week.
