    This forum's a frickin' survivor

I haven't been in much the last couple / few years. I joined another mc forum recently and the most current post on the entire site was over 3 months ago, I couldn't believe it!

Glad to see GSR is still thriving when many aren't exactly surviving. Probably not the level of activity going on here like there was when I joined 10 years ago but still chugging along.

Glad to see GS love is alive and well

I think if this was just a narrowly focused forum it would have died years ago.

Good people here with varied interests, actually I have met many people in person via the GSR, many I consider great friends.

2001 KLR650 too pretty to get dirty

Life is a balancing act, enjoy every day, "later" will come sooner than you think. Denying yourself joy now betting you will have health and money to enjoy life later is a bad bet.

The GS Resources is the Swiss army knife of motorcycle forums. heh

I joined what might be same m/c forum, at one point I'd forgotten about that particular site and went back, it had been about seven month.

And only two post since I last visited...think they were birthday announcements? So that shouldn't even count LOL

credit the members for that, a forum is only as good as the membership, I'm in two GS forums and two CBX forums .... GSresources and OldSkoolSuzuki are far ahead of the CBX forums for member participation/activity.

but golly the CBX was a low production run bike was it not? It also has a narrow appeal if not a narrow engine.
The best thing about this forum is the diversity and normalcy of its members
I can ask a question about almost anything and get a sensible persons answers unlike some narrow focused forums that seem riddled with doctrinaire loonies.

about 50K cbx made two models over four years so it's narrow focus but the forum has adequate membership the two forums I visit are maintained but they're just inactive there are Facebook CBX forums a number of owners frequent that but I despise facebook.

CBX engine isn't that wide! its only an inch wider than my GS1150, it's all perception I guess.

I bought a 2015 Yamaha FJ-09 in February of this year, and the Tracer/FJ forum is nearly a ghost town compared to this one. I'm trying to liven it up a a little...

I don't mind saying that the very best friends I've ever had, men I consider brothers, are people I've met via this forum. We've been there for each other through some of the very best of times and the very worst of times.

I've also participated quite a bit in the V-Strom forum. I sold my V-Strom in April, but I still check in on occasion, and I'm in contact with a few locals.

There really is something different about the GSR forum!

This forum has gone thru changes in the almost 10 years I've been here.

This was my second forum after gixxer.com...when I acquired my first bike as a 44 year old! lol

I'm 55 now and that much familiar/smarter with forum culture.

The thought processes, banter and sheer dialogue can be quite an experience to read. It's good to be a spectator--I've learned because otherwise it gets hectic responding to posters.

Totally entertainment value in the Vortex...sometimes it's hard to believe people feel so strongly about certain things. That's the human race for you.

I bounce back between here and a Tacoma forum and Gixxer.com. One thing in common between all of them...well, you can guess...no need for me to interpret that since people evaluate differently.

Could it be that it's a not for profit forum with no agenda other than a sharing community and most importantly staffed by people who don't charge properly for their time?
