    2021. Any good mo'cykl related gifts ?

Seems that my son and son-in-law organised the family gift for me this year (which I greatly appreciate them doing...)

I opened the box, and was quite surprized and happy with it.
    A Tank Bag.
Spent some time trying to figure out the mounting. Was some hardware with it, and mounting instructions, but I wasnt seeing how it could be mounted. Took me a while to notice that the hardware included was hinged, and maybe that is how/why it could possibley be suitable for the RT, somehow.

Other thing I noticed was a tag that said "Caution. Secure zipper to insure contents are contained. Especially cameras.".
I commented that seemed strange that would specifically mention cameras, maybe becuse that would be heavier than most things might put in a tank bag. Son and SonInLaw were snickering.

THen we proceedd with gifts for other folks.
I was still pondering and reviewing the mounting hardware and instructions.

    sw-motech ion one.

Later I get another gift wrapped package.
It is the mounting adapter specific to the RT. Oh!

THen - - Then, I figure out they were having fun watching my puzzlement.

Later, I again mentioned how peculare it is about the tag that warns specificaly about cameras. Now son and SonInLaw are laughing out loud - - okay, then I figure it out - - they made up the tag - - a reference to me dumping out contents of my side bag onto the highway, and loosing most all of it, including camera, earlier this year.

Wasn't really a Christmas gift per se, but my brother, who is cleaning out his shop (30 years in the repair business), gave me his unopened Motion Pro vacuum gages from 1980. It still has the unopened bottle of mercury in it!

Also gave me his cutting torch set up. I offered to come and help him clean out some more stuff, but he tastefully declined! Said I would be like a kid in a candy store! (I've got my eyes on his mini-lathe! LOL)

When I die, just cremate me and put me in my GS tank. That way I can go through these carbs, one more time!https://www.thegsresources.com/_forum/core/images/smilies/cool.png

Dave, that's hilarious that they made up the caution tag!!! It looks so realistic. That is a nice looking bag👍

Wife got me a couple of nice Triumph shirts. Still planning to own a Triumph bike in the not too distant future. Maybe. We’ll see.

I bought a tank bag quite while ago...it was magnetic and not as technical as this bag seems.

They must love you a lot to play such a trick on you!

With some of the gift money I received this year, I bought the Harley a fork brace, fork boots, new rear turn signals, and an external breather system for the intake.

When I was little, I got a hand-me-down “leather” Fonzie jacket from an older cousin. Was the grossest feeling faux leather I ever felt. But when I wore it, I was definitely the coolest kid on my block.

I had also built a scale model of the Fonz and his Triumph. I don’t remember the figure, but I sure remember how intricate the bike parts were. This must have been the kit.

I had not learned until very recently that HW (after a first day of Happy Days filming accident) did not then, nor ever, operate that Triumph nor any other motorcycle. Kind of disappointing. But from all accounts, he’s just the nicest guy, ever. And that counts for something.
