    When one thinks of Turkey...

    one usually thinks of bazaars and other pleasant, warm, experiences.
    I expect that most of us do not think of snow...BUT...Turkey does get it.

    and how.......FOUR METRES.....thirteen Feet!


    The province of Mus, located in eastern Turkey, has been battered by an extended period of heavy snowfall -- accumulating to a depth of more than four metres in spots, according to local media.

    Nothing quite like that, but Turkey's age-old enemy, Greece, also gets snow most years up in Thrace and Macedonia.

      You reminded me of a pun I first came across when I was a teenager:

      If Russia were to invade Turkey from the rear, do you think Greece would help?
