There is a rumor going around, And I did say RUMOR, that Putin has cancer, and wants Ukraine back in the old Soviet fold as his legacy. I've seen recent pictures of the little runt looking quite bloated, as happens to many cancer patients under going chemo. But it's hard to believe that such a thing could be kept secret so long.

The part of me that requires fantasy in order to maintain sanity STILL wants to lead me to believe that this is just a cover up to remake a better world. A piece of performance art gone a little too far, I've been there and done that!

What better way than to have the adversary killed? Kinda like that Dan Brown novel where the character that was going to wreck all belief systems was dying of cancer and A.I. assistant arranged to have him killed. Martyrdom is an awfully powerful tool, imagine if MLK et al where exposed as fallible humans just like everyone else...

The satirist in me has to wonder though, what if his death happens the day after good Friday and he shows up three days days later for the Smigus-Dybgus celebration and pours a pocket of water over Melania Trump? Now THAT would rock!

There's a lot of ways you could play that. If he's a martyr to those who remember "The good old days" then it's not a big deal. It'll give them something to cling to as the sun sets on an old era.

History is now able document these times in such a way as to allow future generations to look at them for what they are instead of a romanticized version of what really happened. A friend of mine works on deprogramming people involved prison spawned Arian groups by teaching them the Pagan messages they are often based on instead of what someone came up with in their cell. Same thing, if you romanticize something it deviates from it's original context.

As to "Bob" YES! "Bob" is truly everywhere as was just demonstrated. Considering that I somehow missed the fact that yesterday was Shrove Tuesday I missed getting my sacred Paczki and am killing "Bob" for lent to absolve myself from this sin. My three grandparents who lived near Kiev (Kyiv) came to America between 1900 and 1911. They came one at a time, then brought a few relatives over.

On two days in September 1941, the Nazis shot and killed about 34,000 people, mostly Jewish women and children, in a ravine just outside the city called Babi (Babyn) Yar. I've always felt that close blood relatives of mine were buried in that mass grave. (The 34,000 who were murdered on September 29 and 30, 1941 were not the total; the site was used for mass murder and burial for the remainder of the war.)

chemo...the immune system takes a serious hit that would fit in with his covid protocol if you look at any photos of he meetings he's taking social distancing to the extreme. My mrs in chemo and is also bloated.

If he has cancer at his age most likely prostrate, it would be nice but the worst people never seem to die they just live on and on tormenting others.

Deputy Prime Minister Freeland announced today that some of the new sanctions they are dreaming up could hurt Kanada's economy as well ..... I suspect that in spite of that they will have overwhelming approval by the public .....

That's actually very interesting and straightforward summation. Combined with wyly's rumour, this is a fearful take. A man terminally ill focused on a "hero's legacy" and "manifest destiny" isn't going to be diverted from his goal.

i can't do anything about the situation one way or another. However, I don't crack jokes at funerals either.

It's going to be some rare earth metals and some aluminum that north america is presently getting that'll be compromised. Nickel is also an issue although I'm not sure how much of it we need here and can go without, that could be a biggie. Someone else will need to pipe in on oil and gas, I'm not sure much of theirs goes into the refinery mix used here. Needless to say other countries WILL be hit hard over oil shortages and that'll drive up prices, you guy's will be scraping sludge in Alberta big time.

Another one I'm not sure of is our various sales to Russia and how that'll hit things we export to them and the money lost due to losing them from our markets.

Yes sad as it is this will revive the oil patch in alberta. The current alberta gov will take credit. ANd all the oil workers will make that solemn promise once again not to *@%^$*@%^$*@%^$*@%^$ it all away. but they will.
