I love the B-52. But I'll never own one. That's probably a good thing, cause I'd probably try to park it in my living room.

Remember, I'm the guy who used to start his Sportster up inside the apartment. Call me Doctor - Dr. Strangelove. In my hands, any motorcycle is a doomsday machine.

We were talking about B-52 strikes and redirected to Sportsters in apartments...the tangent went that direction.

No intentional train wreck Pilot...and I KNOW YOU KNOW how we got here. Asking how we got here is begging the question. But that's ok.

I used to watch B52 strikes go in. I would be many miles away and feel the ground shake, then watch the grey clouds rise, then hear the rumble. Walked through several ark light areas….dam scary terrain. Pretty much wipes out everything in a 1/2x1 klick area.

              Just to tie everything together:

James Earl Jones was in the news the past few days because a Broadway theater was just named after him.

In 1964, Jones played the B-52 bombardier in Dr. Strangelove (or how I learned to stop worrying and love the bomb).

A few B-52s would permanently stop that 40 mile convoy in the Ukraine and...

A few more would send the remaining Ruskies back from whence they came with their tails between their legs. I wonder how an ark light remix would sound. I bet it would be a smash hit. Number one with a bullet.

                  Now Belarus

Alexander Lukashenko, who has depended on Putin's support as he persecutes his own people and illegally clings to power in Belarus, allowed his country to be used as a staging area for Putin's illegal war.

Lukashenko, who forced an international civilian flight to land in Belarus so that he could snatch the Russian opposition leader Alexi Navalny as a favor to Putin.

Lukashenko, who put all his eggs in Putin's basket, is now attempting to walk that back. Putin must be seething. And freaking out. China, the principle enabler of autocracies on the planet, has been distancing itself from Putin almost from the beginning of this fiasco. I believe the only U.N. nations to vote against condemning Russia are Syria and North Korea, neither of which matters economically.

Russia is now allowing civilians to leave the cities, so that it can humanely raze them to the ground. 'In order to save the city, it was necessary to destroy it.' Putin will claim he's only achieving his original goal - to "de-Nazify" Ukraine. I don't think he or his troops will even be around long enough to set up a puppet government.

Maybe Putin is terminally ill. It would explain a lot.

Well now we're at that point where inflation will damage every economy, investments, jobs will be lost. It should've happen in 2014 with the Crimea invasion but politicians are afraid of voters, Putin got away with a slap on the wrist and here we are.

Fuel prices are just a small part of what I'm expecting to see here in the U.S. Add shortages and perhaps even rationing into the mix along with the divisive nature of our political and social climate and well, let's just say I'm expecting to hear a few explosions and gun shots. Loosely organized groups are easy enough to infiltrate and diffuse, it's the lone wolf attackers that are going to be the hardest to anticipate.

Right on. Even if all of us in the rich countries sacrificed just a little, the sum total and a huge message of support could be sent.

It's going to cost us each of us more than a little, we're essentially in WW3 vs Russia without people being killed and our cities destroyed.

The damage is almost economic the resulting inflation is going to hurt, if you have a mortgage lock down the rate.

Western governments need to go all in to end the war as soon as possible and limit damage to our economies.

The no fly zone is a must - calling Putin's bluff on nuclear catastrophe will be necessary at some point.... that or hope someone tops him.

I see that NATO has got to call Putin on his red line," if NATO gives Ukraine jets I'll use my nukes". His bluff needs to be called otherwise he becomes unstoppable he can't be allowed to make all the rules. Give Ukraine all the weapons it wants call his bluff, NATO also has nukes. If necessary give the Ukraine tactical nukes.
