      March 23, Ukraine today...............
Irina Rybakova/Press Service of the Ukrainian Ground Forces/Handout via ReutersTwo Russian soldiers have been caught venting about Putin’s “bullshit” war against Ukraine in an intercepted phone call as devastating losses reportedly led one soldier to drive over his colonel with a tank.“Basically, it’s a shitshow here, I’ll put it that way,” an unnamed soldier near Mykolaiv in southern Ukraine can be heard telling a colleague in a recording released by Ukraine’s Security Service late Tuesday.Afte

and see post 534 per "updates to Aeroscope" which, if true, boils down to a declaration of war on Ukraine by Chinese drone-maker DJI (:https://www.thegsresources.com/_foru...82#post1690282)
Yes clearly the drone company and its overlords are acting criminally. I cannot fathom why the units cannot be cut from the chinese servers and migrated to something else.
Also the tying of the device account to the gps of the users phone is horrifying.

Why are no techno geeks showing up to defeat this.

AS for the vid its seems fake not for the date but for the sudden appearance of an explosion which if a grenade or mortar could not be a single fire successful strike

Also if only a grenade they are close enough to be badly injured why werent they.

Well maybe the Belarus boys who are in danger of being sent to fight Ukraine could revolt and start attacking the russians in the rear of the Ukraine positions in the north.
I think wed almost certainly have to see some better Russian troops showing up. Maybe the better units are working remotely due to covid?

@ Cipher I think it's the "update" that's the problem. DJI only pushes updates from its own servers ,so given a registered owner in Ukraine "updating"( as people are wont to tell you to do*) , they turn the Aeroscope capabilities off. I expect the traffic between drone and controller is encrypted so,as to substituting other similar software, It's not easy... DJI keeps tight control of their software. But, given the right scanner (it's just wifi frequency) you can locate most drones and controllers. though I'd guess a DIY would need some smart cobbling to make it useful

"....Therefore, Shimansky did not recommend that Ukrainian DJI owners update any software or firmware, but suggested disabling geolocation and registering their drones only outside of Ukraine."

*(goes to show again; Never Update Anything if you can help it)

Additionally, I read today that Ukraine estimates the Russians have food, water, fuel and ammunition supplies unlikely to last beyond March 26 if they are not resupplied.

I hope that is true. I hope the reporting is not grossly exaggerated.

Unfortunately, missiles available to Russia beyond the borders of Ukraine is another matter.

Apropos resupply. Last night a large aircraft with unusual lights passed overhead. It was an Antonov A-124 with no posted details on flight radar. No country of registration, no tail number and it was classed a reposition flight.
It had just taken off from Shannon having just landed from Dulles and carried on to Eastern Poland.

The coming days in Ukraine and what Putin is able and unable to do.
"Putin will have to halt his war in Ukraine sooner or later and probably in a matter of weeks," retired US Army Brig. Gen. Kevin Ryan told Insider.

I didn't see any criticism in that particular article, but they did point out that it's quite rare, which is true, and more or less unheard-of between countries that are not officially at war.

Biden is correct, of course; Putin is the one guy driving this. Lots of blame to go around in Russian leadership, certainly, and maybe there's a Steve Bannon or Roger Stone figure back there somewhere. The wealthy and the military leadership were quite happy to just bimble along as usual, playing with their yachts and dachas, skimming from military projects, and telling Putin whatever he wanted to hear.

The citizens had mostly full grocery stores, internet, and McDonald's, and they certainly didn't want to rock the boat either. Putin was the only one obsessed with rebuilding the USSR (and then some), yet blinded enough by ambition to badly misjudge, well, everything.

I think it's overall part of a US "sunlight" strategy to quickly and consistently call out Russian misinformation and provide real, verifiable information worldwide. We've been doing this for months with Ukraine, and it's actually proving somewhat effective, aside from the weirdly loyal Russian assets at Fox News and in the House and Senate.

Gotta hand it to them; when our politicians get bought they sure stay bought...
