There's an expanation in the FAQ's.It comes down to server space,it takes a lot to host pic and even more to do video I'd think.A text link takes almost none.

Not at the moment. But thats a heck of a deal and the bike is actually pretty cool to ride. I have been thinking of sourcing a 74 engine though. They added another 2 inch ring to the bottom of the engines in 74 to acomodate more oil and keep the counter balancers from frothing so much oil..which was why the scavenger pumps lost prime and burnt up the top ends. The additional oil below the balancers and the added oil cooler seemed to solve the problems. However, seeing the bike had already grenaded its own future they stopped about half way into the 74 year and called it off.

I just found this... I love the old colors and styling.
when I see a new Hayabusa, I want to throw up a little. And I ask "how did they sell more than 1 ???"
When I saw this Yamaha, I smiled. Seriously.

Well done. And thanks for sharing !

Oh No ED. I got that top end done way this spring. Found all new NOS cam blocks and paid 250.00 for a new still in the box camshaft. Running Honda race oil and a few ounces of Navistar anti foaming agent so the oil cant foam and cause the scavenger pump to loose prime like the original problem was with these bikes.

Rode it a few months ago actually. Its in the storage unit under its blanket.

Well good on you chuck. Hate to see a bike put away broken. That's like one foot in the grave.

Some day when money is right, I plan on having the old cam blocks milled and set up with roller bearings instead of the old plain bearings they have now. That and the ability to keep the foaming to an absolute minimum should cure all future problems.

But its all good as it is now to ride. Guy at the local Yamaha dealership has one but its not running right now. He took mine for a spin and had a nice smile when he came back. Told him let me know when he wants to tackle it and i will be glad to lend a hand.
