Aint nothing that cant be fixed...gonna be 16 bucks for the cam chain link and adjusters ( the only way to get the cams out is to cut a link ). Dont ask me why they did it that way but the service manual say that you need to cut it. I have priced the 2 intake valves and that will be around 160.00..looks like it gonne be a while till the engine is redone but i am sgrounging up as many side jobs and anything else i can. FIRST THOUGH..Is to get these medical copays caught up and THEN finish the engine.

Saved the link ED...easily the best prices I think I will EVER find and on new parts at that. Now to get to saving some coin. Hope to have the work done and the frame simple greened for spring next year.

Heads and jugs sand blasted today. Cases degreased and paint stripped to bare metal and all is ready for fresh paint. Still need to order 2 valves and the valve stem seals.

Ole gam is gonna be down a while till this misaligned adjuster issue can be resolved..See OTHERS QUESTIONS thread about " Can Cast Rocker Arms Be Rebent ". AND I will need to find the change to buy the 2 new intake valves.

I think I read in a post of yours that you're not too fond of Boulevard Suzuki,
but they also sell Yamaha parts if you didn't know. Just sayin.

My COMPUTER isnt letting me even access them for some reason. I too am not fond of a 3 week turn around time when I order something. They can keep their stuff. I was mostly using them as a parts fiche place anyways.

Took me just over 3 hrs to strip and poilsh the engine cases and the sprocket cover..Next step is to repaint the inlayed Yamaha lettering and the surrounding circles.

Inlaid areas now repainted. Check out how out of allignment the letters are on the one cover..seems that the adjuster and valves arent the only things askew!!!
