Good job man. I am glad to hear that she runs and shifts ok. I guess we should plan on synching the carbs before you bolt her all down. Yes you will have a good summer of riding.

Now I hope you remembered to put some lube on that chain and you'll have to clean it every week to keep it clean. Shoulda got black, I tell ya.

Yup I was very happy when she went from 1st to 2nd to 3rd, and back down again, and no issues at all....a bit different than the GS, but it feels good, even the safety switch for the kickstand works, had her in first, clutch in, and I dropped the kickstand, and she turned off.....

hopefully a carb sync might make her a touch better, but she sounds good, either I ride her up to your place, or come on down when you get a chance and we can do it as you say, before all is buttoned up....

I have not lubed the chain yet, will do that for sure, the ride up and down the street was short, and the packaging grease should have helped somewhat and protected me for that little bit...

I kinda mucked up the rivet link install, and it looks like crap, I think it is secure just looks like hell, good thing no one can see it while the bike is in motion, and from 3 feet away, no one can see it,,,,I just know it's there....

Should have her certified this week, and plated maybe......

Now where did I put those cans of PlastiDip......

Speaking of cars, what is that silver sports car? I don't recognize it. But it's been neatly lowered and the wheels offset is just right!

Your bike would look good in silver. Or black.

The sports car, is my wifes 2012 Mercedes C350 Coupe, with a set of rims that just came on the market ( I have forgotten the brand), staggered and a touch wider than stock, 19 inch instead of the stock 18, low profile tires, no work to the suspension, this was my younger sons work, as he drives the car as well...

                    Silver or Black....hmmm

Going to have to think about it....now...

Fantastic build, and congratulations on getting it running! Hope you have loads of fun with the bike this summer. 5 valves per cylinder right? Super cool.

                          Thanks

And you are most welcome, it was a fun one to do, hope it inspires others and give them confidence to do it themselves as well

                          Thanks....

I am glad she is running, she did run when I got her but not very well, I couldn't even give her a touch of throttle....

Yes 5 valves per, and as soon as you hit the 5 thousand rpm mark she just friggen goes, ask Spyug, he has one just like mine.....

As I said this bike might get me in trouble, I will have to watch the amount of twist of the wrist....LOL

I wish I could keep the GS and this FZ on the road but here with the cost of insurance I can only afford one bike on the road, the GS is going in for a nice bath, and I think I will pull the motor, going to freshen that up a bit, and possibly put her up for sale come next season, along with this FZ, I really want to get a bike that is less than 5 years old if possible, I want something modern and new......

but let's see, this season has just begun and it's almost time to have fun...

Once the FZ is painted she will look even better.....

                          Cheers

                                Black.....

Well today the tins got PlastiDipped.....it's a cheap alternative to actual paint, it comes off, and for the time being it will do....

Have to let it dry, but in a few hours I will be able to get the tins back on, and she is ready to Rock and Roll....

of course I had to take some pictures...
