It would be interesting to have a doorway framed into the attic end - kinda like a barn hay loft - for if you ever want to move in -or out something..
A simple block & tackle hoist on an extended rafter ridge beam would be hanging outside....
Just my 2¢ - probably too late - but an idea...
On one of these ends ... ??

It IS going quickly! Looks good!!

The stairs are in. Will need to frame the door for access under them (where I plan on putting the compressor).
The end walls of the attic are framed.
The brick for the front wall is here, should be put up on Friday.
It's all happening rather quickly, now. Siding on the other three sides will probably happen Friday, as well, along with the windows. About all that will be left is trenching for utilities and final grading.

And, if we did do a 'hay loft' door, it would be at the end without the stairs. Not just to avoid the stairs, but that is the end that will be over a paved parking pad, meaning "easy access".

Not a lot to show for the day, in spite of some great weather. Mostly a lot of detail work.
Sheeting installed on the ends of the attic.
Side door and vinyl wrap installed.
Bathroom walls framed.
Doorway framed for access under stairs. Yeah, the stairs go right through there, but you won't see the door from the stairway side.
Tomorrow (Saturday) will be BUSY. If everything goes as planned, windows will be installed,
brick will be installed on the front and siding on the rest of it. Should look a LOT different.

Looks good. Do you mind if I ask how much the Attic Trusses added to the cost? Over plain trusses, I mean. Looks like a good idea.

If it is not too late or they are not yet installed, before the siding goes on, install external upper and lower venting for your compressor "room" under the stairs.
Not only does it need a good supply of fresh air to compress but they also tend to create a lot of heat when running. You were planning on insulating that "room"
already anyway for noise abatement correct?

One idea is to put the compressor upstairs with an automatic drain and a power switch downstairs. My buddy has his up on a shelf (80 gallon? it's an industrial shelf); it's nice to have it completely out of the way. It shouldn't need too much attention so you could save the space under the stairs for something you need to access a little more often (maybe a muffin pantry?)
Some general thoughts in response to the talk about compressors:
I don't think there needs to be that much concern over the sound as I understand the plan is for a 220v 2-stage unit with good capacity (oil-less/direct drive compressors are a completely different animal). Most of the sound from a good compressor actually comes from the intake. You can get a sound reducing filter, or add a lawn mower muffler upstream of the filter (or just pipe the inlet to an exterior wall). I have an inexpensive 20-gal, 1-stage belt driven compressor in my little garage and have no problems with the sound (especially once I put the right filter on it). Also if the compressor is sized right for what you need, they don't spend a lot of time running.

Today, they installed the soffits, most of the windows, most of the siding and the overhead door.
They will likely be back on Monday to finish it up.
It's looking remarkably close to what I proposed back in July.
