CB 650 project

Coming along slowly had been cold but warming up now. Finally got sprocket alignment sorted 3/8 offset front and 1/8 machined off rear carrier.

Also i got the seat pads done and dropped off at the upholstery guy to be covered.

Today I got the new sprocket and chain on.

Shift link rod cut and threaded. Was not surprised the Honda engine shift arm and the Suzuki foot control both had left hand thread. Luckily I had the Honda lever with the rh thread so had to grind both off and weld the rh thread one one engine shift arm. So now it will adjust like normal.

Also got half the s.s. engine bolts in

Owner got painted parts back to me today so we had to put them on and see how it looks.

Different angle. Not ready for fairing yet will change the look when it goes on.

Not my type of thing, but boy is it nice. From the hands of a champ, I'd say.

So I spent the last few days fixing broken wires and figuring out turn signals. He bought small aftermarket turn signals and I found that they were to low of a draw to make the flasher work. So off to google for some research and boy I learned a bit. The most simple and cheap fix I found was a EL12 electromagnetic flasher from autozone for $12 works like a charm. I've never been so happy to see blinkers blink.
