Took the tank and side covers off and laid the bike on its side. Took scrub brushes and degreaser to the oil pan and surrounding areas to degrease the thing some. Then stood it up and took the dish scrubbies and Marvels Mystery Oil to the entire engine and got all the corrosion off and then used degreaser before power washing. Took the aluminum polish to the pipes and mufflers and got them looking pretty good again.

Carbs are in the dip and I have the oring kits here, so if all goes well I should be able to give her a go for trying to start her up.

I now suspect why the guy parked it. The starter clutch is completely grenaded. Many on Ebay so I got one on the way.

Even with a couple more expenses to get this one back on the road you should still make some good money if you decide to sell it.
Check out some of the loony prices on them up here. Again, most of them are aimed at the Toronto cafe crowd.

Mista..It will get the corrosion off easily enough but it wont shine up the darker grey splotches in the metal. Thats gonna take fully repainting the engine cases.

Big box of goodies came in today. Used stock bars that are almost like new, petcock rebuild kit, front brake switch. Soon as the starter clutch arrives it will be wrenching day again.

Starter clutch came today and that was the reason the guy parked the bike. Assembled everything and checked for spark, got fuel in the tank, and just like that we have a running CB350!!! Video link below. Click the picture for video. Now its swap the stock bars in, readjust the valves again to be sure they are right, and put the air filters back on and give it a ride.

EDIT...And i had to resolder a wire on the kill switch too. Thats why the switch is open in the video.

Looking good. You could just tell that thing was gonna clean up nice.
Just a quick wash down and it's doubled in value. Haha
Now a full polish and detail and you are gonna have a real gem.

You know what $400 bikes are these days....people's half finished projects.
Not this one. You did real good.

                    Nice work, Chuck.
Sounds like the baffles are intact which was another common problem.

Got the turn signals, brake lights, new clutch and brake levers, and checked the charging system tonight. Alls in working order and I rode it up and down the street a dozen times or so. Shifts perfectly and has all the gears.

                                Chuck,

Hope the tires are up to the job and you got your insurance and registration business taken care of. Don't mean to rain on your lovefest but Murphy lurks right around the corner and you don't need any more hassles to deal with.
