    ~1974 Suzuki RE5~

    Just purchased this rare model. Lost title but I'll work on that in time. Was told it does run even without ignition switch. Will see.

    I'll update as time goes on. No plans on what I will do in the future other than clean it and park it in the shed. Parts will be almost impossible to find I'm sure. Hell, the parts on it is worth what I paid.

    Could not let it slip away for $500. Less than 2 miles from me. Amazing what's sitting around.

    That's a great deal, nice that you got the 1975 model with the classic "soup can" instruments and tail light ('76 model came with standard instrument cluster), other than the seat the rest should clean up nicely.

    I saw a nice blog from an English guy who took one much worse than this one and made it pristine and was able to find all the parts he needed. I'll see if I can find it for you.

          Thanks guys...

          went to look at it this morning. Several issues, especially title. Sale on hold for today. I posted "bought" a little early but have a line on another that is titled. Working that deal also.

              Those were called ROSIE dashes when i was a kid. Based on the shape of Rosies head on the Jetsons.

                Good luck on spark plugs. I would look for the adapters that you left in the engine and allowed one to use B8ES plugs instead.

                    I second the call to go pick that up. Parts....parts....parts. I met a guy in Knoxville, TN once that had 3 of them. One he finished and the rest he bought just for the parts. They "parts" bikes were nearly complete too though. He got those for insurance. He told me that the carbs had something like 5 cables to work them.

                    Go get that bike!!

                      It would be a shame to part out an intact complete bike like that though. Title issues on that old a bike aren't as big a deal as newer bikes. Here in GA, all you need is a bill of sale to register anything older than '82.
