Been a busy weekend on the KZ. Thanks Ed for the service manual link. Managed to put new rings and valve stem seals in and put it back together. Fired it up and no smoke ( was showing signs of bad stem seals earlier (. I figured if its that far diown may as well do rings as well and have everything as new from the get go. Monday I had new brke lines made and cleaned out all the calipers and master cylinders. Now for aint and decals and then a ride.

As promised, the seat pictures. The body work will get some black splashed on them tomorrow. It hard to just do them without breaks. Today makes 23 days straight working n10 HR days minimum. Im just a little tired to say the least. Monday i had all new brake lines made, broke down all then calioers and master cylinders for inspectionn and ncleaning, reassembled everything and installed the new lines. Only part i needed was a front master diaphram which is ordered. All the mechanicals are done so the last thing is the sexy black body work!!

What's the plan for this bike chuck? A flipper or add it to your (ever growing) collection? I'm of the opinion that Kawasaki hit the sweet spot in terms of light weight, handling, and power with those bikes. I'm anxiously awaiting your review of the bike once you get it up and running.

Well, I sold the 7,000 mile 83 GS650G to buy this one so its basically just a "shuffle" at the museum.

Today I got the rear cowl, seat, side covers mounted. Im at the shop and my laptop is down right now. I will post pics eventually. Still got the decals on the tank to go, redoing the lettering inside the dash for the turn signals, fuel etc etc. Gonna repaint them white. once that done I can remount the dash, the front fairing, and front fender.
